Hand dyed Japanese paper

It has been many years since I have created collages as a new body of work. When I started doing large graphite drawings and large pastels at the same time, I found it necessary to work in another material that would be more meditative and less physical. The small size of these collages is a way to work out formal problems in a different material that I could apply to my larger work. These pieces use Japanese paper that is hand dyed and incorporate other materials as well.
